Climbing Pass & Hours

The UMD climbing walls are open Monday - Thursday from 4:00pm - 9:00pm during the academic year. During open hours the roped section of the walls are staffed with experienced climbing instructors that are there to belay, teach skills, and get you stoked. During open hours participants can belay their friends (after passing a qualification), learn new skills, and engage in fun interactive fitness.

A climbing pass gets you access to open hours and equipment as well as discounted or free climbing trips and clinics.

Climbing passes can be purchased at our Registration Site or by coming to the Information and Registration Desk from 8am - 7pm, Monday - Friday.

All Access Pass

Interested in progressing as a climber? Check out our new all access pass. This pass gets you a wall pass, exclusive clinics, trips and wall time, as well as five free passes to be used on any of our other climbing trips throughout the year. Get yours now as they are limited to 14 individuals!

Fitness Bouldering

Fitness bouldering: Add a challenge to your everyday work out with a bouldering routine. Anyone with a facility or climbing pass may boulder at no additional cost during regular facility hours other than open climbing hours. During open climbing hours you must have a climbing pass to boulder or climb. Please keep your feet below the four-foot high red line.
