UMD Recreational Sports Outdoor Program Alumni Fund

This UMD Recreational Sports Outdoor Program Alumni Fund is to help UMD students afford trips and activities offered through UMD's Recreational Sports Outdoor Program. Extra funds may also be used for upgrading gear or other needs of the program.

UMD Recreational Sports Outdoor Program Gift Fund

The UMD Recreational Sports Outdoor Program Gift Fund fund supports the programs and initiatives of UMD Rec Sports & Outdoor Programs as deemed appropriate by the director.

UMD Recreational Sports Fund

The UMD Recreational Sports Fund supports special building remodeling projects and equipment purchases for Recreational Sports Program improvements and operation.

UMD Sport Clubs Fund

UMD Ken Gilbertson Leadership Scholarship

The UMD Ken Gilbertson Leadership Scholarship recognizes and supports an outstanding student leader involved with the UMD Outdoor Program. Recipients do not have to be majoring in outdoor/environmental education.

UMD Hans August Burmeister Hicks Memorial Scholarship

The Hans August Burmeister Hicks Memorial Scholarship recognizes and supports two full-time students in good academic standing who have a concentration (major, minor, or emphasis) in outdoor/environmental education and/or are actively involved with Outdoor Program instruction.

UMD Richard Haney Recreational Leadership Award

The Richard Haney Recreational Leadership Award recognizes and supports a Recreational Sports Outdoor Program student employee in good academic standing who demonstrates outstanding leadership, dedication and enthusiasm in delivering and promoting sports and recreation. 

UMD Matt Link Outstanding Outdoor Educator Award and James M. & Martha Ryan Scholarship

The Matt Link Outstanding Outdoor Educator Award and James M. & Martha Ryan Scholarship recognizes and supports an outstanding student outdoor educator who is active in the Outdoor Program, has a concentration (major, minor, or emphasis) in outdoor/environmental education, is an active participant in extra-curricular activities related to the field and demonstrates potential as a future professional outdoor educator.
